Description

Eminox designs and manufactures exhaust aftertreatment systems, reducing emissions from heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Our products are supplied as original equipment to meet the latest emissions standards. We also produce complete emissions systems for retrofit to meet the ever-changing demands of local air quality programmes such as London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone and Clean Air Zones across the country. Eminox also supply replacement products to the UK and European independent Aftermarket.

The Supply Chain Team is responsible for end-to-end demand management, from point of order placement to point of despatch. Included within this is the Purchasing department with responsibility for ensuring that all parts and materials are available to satisfy the agreed plan.

Reporting directly to the senior Buyer and responsible for providing a professional purchasing support to the business as a whole. The role is to provide support to the Buyer / Senior Buyer whilst also taking direct responsibility.

Key skills (your job requires):

  • A good level of Education. Minimum of 5 GCSE’s with English and Maths
  • Computer Literate in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • High degree of numeracy and attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to prepare, issue, evaluate RFQ’s and tenders
  • Able to work confidently as part of a team
  • Able to liaise and communicate at all levels both inside and outside the business.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Methodical structured and tidy
  • Valid Clean Driving License

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Buyer / Buyer in the alignment of the supply plan
  • Maintenance and Expediting and scheduling of orders as necessary in line with the supply plan
  • Support with the Generation of cost savings to improve company profitability
  • Take responsibility of certain supplier Inventory levels in line with company plan
  • Assist in preparing and conducting benchmarking exercises
  • Maintenance of Personnel Purchasing KPI’s on a monthly basis
  • Assist Senior Buyer / Buyer with Capital equipment and support services ensuring that cost delivery and robust commercial agreements are achieved.
  • Assist in the setting up of new suppliers as requested by the Buyer and Senior Buyer
  • The maintenance of Supplier Part Costs in IFS
  • To develop a professional Purchasing service to the business through experience and training
  • Price Updates in IFS to include AAF and Platinum Price updates in IFS
  • Addressing Invoice queries due to booking in and prices queries where necessary
  • Any other duties assigned in line with scope of role
