Eminox expands into India through collaboration with IP Rings Limited

Signs “Heads of Terms” to deliver innovative emission reduction solutions to Indian market

Eminox Products

Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, UK and Chennai, India: Emissions control specialist Eminox today announced that, it is joining forces with IP Rings Limited (IPRL) which is part of the Amalgamations Group, a major player in the Indian automotive, agriculture and power generation components and equipment markets. Ram Venkataramani, Managing Director IP Rings Ltd, and Mark Runciman, Managing Director Eminox Ltd, signed Heads of Terms this month.

“As part of its long-term growth and global diversification strategy, Eminox will work with IPRL to establish an Innovation and Technology Centre based in Chennai. The combined engineering team will design and develop complete exhaust aftertreatment systems (EATS), to cost-effectively meet the Indian TREM V off-highway & BSVI stage-2 on-highway emissions standard, which comes into effect from April 2024 and Apr 2022 respectively. We have very ambitious plans with IPRL to develop and supply EATS for a range of diesel and CNG engines used in off-road and on-road across the Indian market. Furthermore, it is an absolute privilege to be working with a key member company of the Amalgamations group,”

Jog Lall, OE Sales & Marketing Director, Eminox.

The equivalent of the European Stage V regulation, TREM V mandates stricter emissions control of particulate matter (PM), particulate number (PN), nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrocarbon (HC), and carbon monoxide (CO) from off-highway applications including agricultural machinery, construction equipment and generators.

Through the collaboration Eminox will bring its world-leading capabilities in emissions control solutions to the Indian market, while IPRL’s extensive market presence and expertise will facilitate local opportunities. Eminox has over 42 years’ experience designing and manufacturing emissions reduction technology for heavy duty vehicles and equipment, with its products found in world-renowned applications globally. IPRL started it’s journey into the EATS market just over a year ago and has been strengthening its engineering capability in this domain, knowing the challenges that lay ahead with upcoming emissions legislation.

“Working alongside Eminox will help accelerate our product portfolio development” enabling a “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (self-reliant India).

Meenakshi Sundaram, CTO of Amalgamations Components Group.
