Eminox designs market-leading exhausts, specialist pipes, silencers and exhaust aftertreatment systems which use innovative diesel particulate filter (DPF) technologies and the latest SCR technology to reduce harmful pollutants from heavy-duty equipment and vehicles across multiple sectors.
Ceramex is a leading international supplier of DPF remanufacturing and cleaning services to major OEMs with facilities across the UK, Europe, Japan and North America.
In 2024 Eminox acquired SaveGuard which designs and manufactures highly technical and innovative thermal and acoustic insulation products to OEMs. These products and solutions expand the Eminox Group’s value offering and enhances the technological capabilities with a wide range of automotive products used in vehicle exhausts.
In a broad sense, the Engineering Department in Eminox covers design, development, validation, technical project planning and implementation of product for manufacture, right from new product introduction to current product support. Introduction of technology into products and implementation of tools and processes to design and develop a robust product remain key for the department.
The project engineer is pivotal in engineering development programmes, providing a technical link to many areas of the business whilst engaging with the end customer to ensure the technical requirements are achieved. The project engineer will be proficient in delivering complex technical projects whilst managing inputs from various engineering disciplines.
Key responsibilities:
- • Working closely with internal and external customers to deliver the technical content on projects
• Translating customer requirements into technical requirements
• Actively driving DFMA
• Creation of technical project plans and delivery, on time, on budget
• Developing and executing V&V plans
• Scoping design concepts that meet the technical requirements
• Managing design resource to generate detailed design
• DFMEA creation and maintenance
• Tracking and documenting progress against the project technical requirements
• Reporting project progress at engineering reviews
• Deliver feedback to drive continuous improvement
• Any other duties assigned in line with scope of role
Understanding and adherence to the following:
- H&S policy and procedures (made available through Induction/X Drive/H&S Department)
- Eminox business quality standard (IATF & ISO 9001) (Induction/Manager/Quality department)

Key skills:
- Able to manage the delivery of technical project plans on time and within budget
• Competent in the execution of DFMEA
• Ability to read and analyse engineering drawings
• Competent in the application GD&T principles
• Ability to create technical documentation and display good presentation skills
• Demonstrated application of engineering and scientific principles
• A good balance of theoretical understanding and practical knowledge with the drive to see the project through to completion
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and techniques
• Ability to work effectively within teams and liaise across functions
• Able to work effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers
• Familiar with aftertreatment fundamentals
• Demonstrated understanding of CFD, FEA & NVH fundamentals
• Understanding of PFMEA
